PROCUREMENT INSPECTION SERVICES (Raw Material /Finished Goods)

It is imperative that Raw material (commodity) is inspected for the correctness in terms of metallurgy, dimensions, surface finish etc. before actual start of manufacturing process, our experienced inspectors carryout all such inspections to ensure that all quality & quantity of raw material as per BOM and specified grade specification, required NDE, visual and other inspections are carried out as required. Our inspectors can select a pre-determined number of samples from production at a factory and seal them, label & send them to NABL approved material testing laboratory for testing according to customer requirements. The examinations are witnessed at testing laboratory by our inspectors. The raw material required for the production is checked, so as to ensure that the same is non defective & is suitable as per the standards & or requirement. of the Client. RMI is the first step in ensuring the quality of your product. We provide inspection services on all purchases from India & can inspect your material at your suppliers/vendors premises for various parameters as per your orders, requirements and Quality plans. We carry out necessary test & on approval stamp the material prior to despatch, to ensure that you get only acceptable raw material at your premises.

INITIAL PRODUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES

An Initial Production Check is an on-site Inspection performed before your production begins up, until 20% has been completed. It is a preliminary inspection of all machinery, tools, equipments, processes and procedures to be used for the production of your products. Our Inspectors perform a visual inspection of your job as available at the beginning of the production cycle against a your instructions and Purchase Order specifications.

IN PROCESS/PRODUCTION INSPECTION

Our Inspector scrutinizes your vendors factory, enforcing your specifications, selecting units at random for inspection and identifying and eliminating defects. You receive daily reports regarding quality and completion status, putting you in control of the entire process, to identify any issues early in the manufacturing cycle, giving you the time needed to react and fix them in real-time.

FINAL PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION

SRI Team performs a final inspection comprising of a detailed visual inspection of goods before shipment. It is generally conducted on the premises of the manufacturer, on samples selected according to defined sampling procedures. The inspection criteria covering quality, quantity, marking and packing are based on the client’s specifications and reference samples, as provided. Upon completion of the final random inspection a detailed inspection report is sent to the client and the inspection certificate issued to the supplier if all findings are positive. Random Inspection can be chosen as an independant service or for a tighter check on the production, the Random Inspection service can be performed in conjunction with the “Initial Production Check” and “In-Production Checks.” Upon completion of this inspection we will issue a Inspection Certificate certifying the product quality.

NDT SERVICES

We provide complete NDT Inspection Services (both On-Shore & Off-Shore) with the below given methods for; procured items, fabricated equipments, pipes, tanks, pressure vessels etc. used in Industries like; Chemical, Petro-chemical, Process, Sugar, Steel, Power, Nuclear, Automobile, Marine, Aviation & in the engineering Industry in general, as per the requirements of the applicable codes, standards & or Customers requirements.

1) Ultrasonic Testing – This Method is used to detect internal flaws or to characterize materials. This method is extremely useful to detect defects such as delaminations and planar cracks which are difficult to be detected using Radiographic Testing. High frequency sound waves are used to detect imperfections or changes in properties within the materials. It can also be used to measure the thickness of a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials where access from one side only is available. We use state of art sophisticated & the most reliable flaw detection instruments like USM Go+ (Advanced Ultrasonic Flaw Detector of GE) which can be used in the most sturdiest & hazardous areas

2) Radiographic Testing – This Method is more reliable & the best NDT Method for detection, sizing & finding out the nature of internal flaws, as it provides a permanent image of the flaws.

3) Magnetic Particle Inspection –This Method is used to for relatively faster detection of only surface & subsurface defects in ferromagnetic materials. This is very important Method for detecting;Defects just below the surface which are difficult to be reliably detected by UT OR RT, Defects just below the surface, but not open to surface & so are not possible to be detected by PT.

4) Liquid Penetrant Inspection – This Method is comparatively less expensive & most portable NDT method which can be used to detect only the defects which are open to surface in essentially non-porous materials (Both Ferromagnetic & Non-Ferromagnetic). This is very important Method for detecting very fine cracks.

NDT Level III – Consultancy Services

A) Setting up new NDT facilities at customer locations : With our highly experienced NDT level II & Level III personnels, we help you in setting up new NDT facilities, both Manual & Automated Systems. We assist you in;

1. Study of methods and techniques, equipments suitable for all the types of components being tested,

Review NDT procedures to Audit companys NDT programs and make/recommend changes or updates, so as to ensure & assure complete compliance with the applicable National, International Codes, Standards & OR Customers Specifications and requirements to the complete satisfaction of the Clients & OR Third Party Inspectors.

Note :- All the above consultancy services can be provided on individual service basis OR alternatively you can also hire our monthly/yearly services for a full year on retainer basis, the charges of which can be worked out on the basis of the estimated number of visits & hours required per visit, to maintain your program. However the cost of the same will be considerably lower than employing a full time NDT Level III.

THICKNESS GAUGING SERVICES (UTM / UTG)

This Technique is used for finding out actual thickness of plating and knowing original thickness, reduction in thickness can be found out. This technique is a very useful tool in shipping industry to find out diminution of plating thickness and also in onshore / offshore platforms to find out rate of corrosion of piping & other structures. UTG is a technique based on the time taken by the ultrasound wave to return to the surface. This type of measurement is typically performed with an ultrasonic thickness gauges. We offer on-site thickness gauging services for assessing corrosion in process plant, piping & equipment. We are equipped with the most reliable state of art ultrasonic thickness gauges like Cygnus-2, having the latest through coat technology where removal of paint from the surface is not required.

We also provide the below mentioned thickness gauging services;

1) High temperature thickness gauging (up to 350 degree C)

Variation in material temperature affects sound velocity and accuracy of thickness measurements. Standard transducers are not designed to withstand high temperatures and get damaged due to varying thermal expansion coefficients of the materials used to construct them. We use special transducers & couplants to perform this task.

2) Oxide Scale Thickness Measurement

We provide on-site oxide scale thickness measurement services to measure the thickness of oxide scale build-ups. The gauge simultaneously displays the metal thickness of the boiler tube and the thickness of the oxide layer. Knowing the thickness of the oxide scale helps predict tube life.
